MDN Future CBSE School Clinches Double Victory at 2nd MDN Alumni Trophy Interschool Kho-Kho Tournament

MDN Future CBSE Senior Secondary School, in association with the Coimbatore District Kho Kho Association (Men & Women), successfully hosted the 2nd MDN Alumni Trophy, an interschool Kho-Kho tournament for boys and girls, on August 1st and 2nd, 2025, at the MDN Future campus.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by eminent dignitaries including Er. P. Baladhandapani (Chairman, MDN Future CBSE Sr. Sec. School), Dr. B. Parimalam (Correspondent), and Mrs. A. Maragatham (Principal).

The valedictory function, held on August 2nd, witnessed the esteemed presence of Mrs. S. Bhuvaneshwari (District Sports Officer and Youth Welfare Officer, Coimbatore), Dr. Thalapathi Ilango (Deputy Secretary, Coimbatore District, DMK), Mr. P. Pradev Aathivel (Correspondent, Kovai Vidhya Mandir), Mr. M. Sivakumar (Secretary, Coimbatore District Kho Kho Association), and Mr. Dinesh (Secretary, Coimbatore District Throwball Association), adding prestige to the occasion.

Final Results:

• Boys' Finals: MDN Future CBSE Sr. Sec. School triumphed over TNGR Memorial Higher Secondary School with a score of 28-18, securing a 10-point victory.
• Girls' Finals: In a nail-biting finish, MDN Future edged past TKS Matriculation Higher Secondary School with a score of 10-9, clinching the title by just 1 point.

With outstanding performances in both categories, MDN Future CBSE Senior Secondary School proudly emerged as the overall champions, bagging the winner’s title in both the boys’ and girls’ divisions.

The tournament not only fostered sportsmanship and competitive spirit among young athletes but also served as a vibrant platform to showcase the growing prominence of Kho-Kho at the school level in Coimbatore.
